直接引语变间接引语教学“六步法”

九年义务教育英语教科书中,间接引语是一项语法重点,也是难点。通过几年的教学实践,我总结了“六步法”有效地提高了教学效果,下面就“六步法”作一下小结。
一、引入
间接引语是转述别人的话,直接引语是直接引入原话加引号,间接引语由一个主句及从句或其他部分构成,
举个例子:1.He said "I am a boy".
2.He said that he was a boy.
例1就是直接引语,例2就是间接引语。
二、去引号,并据需要改变主句的谓语动词。
先举三个例子:
例1.He said to me "Are you tired?"
2.He said to me "Sit down"
3.He said "I'm new."
这三句中,主句基本一致,直接引语部分分别是疑问句、祈使句和陈述句,去引号后主句的谓语动词要做以下的变化:
1.He asded me if / whether I was tired.
2.He ordered / asked / told us to sit down.
3.He said that he was new.
向学生说明:1、例3中引导词that可省略;2、if与whether通常情况下可互换,但⑴当从句是"……or not"形式时,则必须用whether如:He asked whether she was from Henan or not ;⑵动词不定式前不用if,如He doesn't know whether to visit the old man;⑶介词之后的不用if,如:I'm interested in whether he'll go abroad;⑷造成歧义时尽量用whether而不用if,如:Let me know whether you can come.
三、从句语序
从以上例题中可以看出,从句的语序是陈述的语序,即“主+谓”。学生对一般现在时和一般过去时的从句掌握较差,在这一步中将涉及到动词的形式——原形,第三人称单数形式和动词去式,先复习一下助动词do,does,did.向学生说明“did+v”即动词过去式。
例4:what do they tald about?
Do you know?
例5:Where does she live?
Do you know?
例6:Did they have a meeting?
Do you know?
Do you know if they had a meeting.
其他带助动词的从句学生掌握较好,这里就不赘述了。
四、时态保持一致
时态一致主要指主句是一般过去时,从句也必须用过去范围内的时态,如:例1,例2
在这一步里需强调的是当从句的内容为客观规律时,则不随主句时态的变化而变化,要用一般现在时。
例7:The earth goes round the sun.
Grandpa said
Grandpa said the earth goes round the sun
五、祈使句变为不定式
如果直接引语是祈使句变为间接引语时,首先谓语动词要变为带有祈使意义的动词 ask tell order ,然后把祈使句变为宾语从句例2,学生感觉较困难的是否定句。
例8:"Don't open the door."
The teacher said to us .
The teacher asked us not to open the door.
六、标点
有些学生对标点不太注意,往往随手画个句号,跟他们说明一下:标点是根据主句而定的。
例1,主句是陈述句,则间接引语用句号。
例4,主句是问句则间接引语用问号。
七、常见错误
学生在接触间接引语时往往只看重引导词,把语序和时态忽略掉,如例5全改成:Do you know where does she live?或Do you know where she does live?
通过直接变间接引语,六步法教学后,学生错误明显减少,我特别强调“六考虑”:1、谓语动词的变化;2、引导词;3、语序;4、时态;5、标点;6、不定式,并经常做以下练习:
⑴T:How old are you ?
What did I ask you ?
S:You asked me how old I was.
⑵T:Are you a new student?
S1:What did Miss Wang ask you?
S2:She asded me if I was a new student.
⑶T:Please open the door.
S1:What did the teacher say?
S2:She asked me to open the door .
让学生编对话进行表演,调动学生的积极性,对照“六步法”和自己编的对话,反复检查练习,达到巩固目的,获得了良好的教学效果。也为以后学习打下了扎实的基础。
